Fresh faces, Treaty United will be competing in the League of Ireland First Division in the upcoming season.
Although, Treaty United were only officially formed last year, they arrive with a familiar face and venue. Unfortunately, Limerick FC were forced to shut down in 2019, however, their former coach, Tommy Barrett is looking to bounce back into the League of Ireland with style with the role of head coach of the newcomers. Limerick FC's previous stadium, Markets Field, will be the venue of choice for the side.

We at Pitchside Guide are delighted to have a Limerick based club back in the league. Even though it was a short lived absence for the county, their fans and venue are a staple in the League of Ireland and were sorely missed. Treaty United will be looking to bring back the noise of Markets Field and to hopefully progress as a force to be reckoned with in the near future. Barrett's experience in the league will help in the achievement of these goals and will help his own career get back up and running.
A highly competitive squad was revealed on the Treaty United social media today and we feel there is definitely more than hope regarding success for the Limerick outfit. Previous League of Ireland playing experience will be looked to be utilised during the first game against Wicklow natives, Bray Wanderers later this month.
We at Pitchside Guide will be looking forward to watching Treaty United in action over the coming season and would like to wish Tommy Barrett and his side good luck!
